CFO and COO, Beehive UAE
Peter is part of the founding strategic management team at Beehive where he is the Group COO and CFO. Beehive is the GCC’s first digital marketplace for SMEs that connects creditworthy businesses with smart investors. It is the only regulated P2P platform in MENA (regulated by the DFSA). Beehive has written $85m of financing across the platform on over 400 requests and has >8,000 registered investors since it launched in November 2014. Peter is now focused on opening the business in Saudi and Bahrain in 2019.
Prior to Beehive, Peter was Managing Director at BDO Corporate Finance in the DIFC which he co-established in 2009. He advised SMEs and business owners across the GCC and led a broad range of Middle East and International transactions. Prior to that, Peter was in London where he focused on cross-border M&A and International IPOs.
Peter is a recognised speaker on fintech and regulatory frameworks and is a mentor to a number of tech start-ups in the UAE. Peter is a fellow of the Chartered Accountants of England & Wales.
Dr. Ashraf Gamal El Din
Dr. Ashraf Gamal El Din is the Chief Executive Officer of Hawkamah, the Institute for Corporate Governance, the DIFC. He is also a jury member of the Arabia CSR Award. Prior to joining Hawkamah, Dr. Ashraf was the Executive Chairman of Egypt Post. Before that, he was the Deputy Executive Director of the Egyptian Banking Institute, the training arm of the Central Bank of Egypt. He was also the founder and Project Manager of the Egyptian Corporate Responsibility Center working on promoting the concepts and application of CSR in Egypt. Furthermore, he was the Executive Director of the Egyptian Institute of Directors (EIoD), the Institute of Corporate Governance in Egypt and the Arab Region Dr. Ashraf served as a board member and head of the Audit Committee in a number of listed, non-listed, State Owned and family owned companies. He also served as a member of the General Assembly of the Holding Company for Transportation.
He holds a PhD degree from Manchester University, UK, and a Master’s degree in Public Administration from Carleton University, Canada. He also holds a Bachelor degree in Business Administration from Cairo University achieving the highest honor.

With over 17 years’ experience in professional services marketing and client experience for three of the largest global accountancy & advisory firms, Mandip has worked across diverse markets in Europe, Asia and more recently the Middle East, which has enabled her to develop a globalised viewpoint, whilst developing, driving and leading market specific growth strategies for offices ranging from 200 people in a local office to supporting 45,000 professionals from a global office. She has been instrumental in growing the revenue base of several firms, driving growth programmes and working closely with the executive leadership team, which she has been a member of.
A qualified Chartered Marketer and founding member of the Marketing Society, she has been awarded accolades from strategic partners in recognition of marketing excellence. She is an avid advocate of professional development, both for teams that she has led and personally - having invested in executive education which has seen her study at Harvard Business School since 2016, where she focused on leading professional service firms, leadership excellence, and on driving profitable growth.
Adel is a Senior Advisor for McKinsey & Company and is based in the UAE. Prior to this role, he was a Advisor for the Prime Ministers office and has extensive experience gained within the public sector. Adel is passionate about supporting wider economic development and driving the Emiratisation agenda. He has attended a number of leadership programmes at Columbia Business School and continues to advocate professional development and executive learning.

Patrick Earl is the Chief Operating Officer at Al Tamimi & Company, a leading law firm in the Middle East. In this role, Patrick works closely with the firm’s leadership on strategy implementation and, in addition, is responsible for approximately 400 staff across the firm’s Business Services functions. Since joining Al Tamimi & Co. in October 2014, Patrick has executed a variety of business-critical projects, including the launch of three new offices, the introduction of new service lines, a complete overhaul of the firm’s IT infrastructure and numerous business process improvements.
Prior to joining Al Tamimi & Co., Patrick spent 11 years in management roles with Linklaters, a leading global law firm, based in Moscow and London. It was in his final role at Linklaters - COO for Emerging Europe, Middle East and Africa - that Patrick first became acquainted with the Middle East region and, as a regular business visitor, developed a strong affinity for the UAE. Earlier in his career, Patrick spent 4 years in the London office of Ernst & Young, where he worked within the Audit Division, focusing on clients in the professional services and technology sectors. He is a qualified Chartered Accountant (ACA) and holds a first-class honours degree from the University of Edinburgh.
Bucking the traditional trajectory to COO, Angela's background spans 20 years of sales and marketing for international organisations across B2B and B2C. Passionate and almost relentless about the importance of clients Angela plays a key role in growing the firms' revenue and profitability in the MEA region. Based in Dubai Angela works with over 400 staff across 8 offices covering 69 countries.

Evangelos Kaldelis is the Head of Mentoring for the COO Network. He is currently the Head of Client Service & Change Delivery for Standard Chartered within the UAE, where he is also responsible for implementing the Private Banking transformation agenda. Prior to his role at SC, he has invested over 14 years working across geographies for various banks, which also included leading the JP Morgan Private Bank in Switzerland as Chief Operating Officer. During his career he has supported a diverse group of professionals to develop under his leadership, along with supporting mentoring and development initiatives.
Evangelos works with our network of coaches, mentors and mentees in order to ensure our mentoring programme offers real value. The network focuses on offering professional mentors who have been trained and developed to support recently promoted COOs through to senior executives who are being prepared for a CEO position. Our mentors are senior professionals who have over 15 years of strategic experience, and are based in the UAE, along with a virtual solution for mentors based in the USA and UK.

Emma is a bid management specialist with over 12 years experience gained at leading global professional services firms in London, Bermuda and the Middle East. Currently a senior bid manager for a global elite law firm, Emma is responsible for the end-to-end management (assessing, planning and writing) of strategic and high value (multi $m) proposals across the region.
Outside of the office, Emma enjoys sporting activities and challenges and is a qualified vinyasa yoga instructor.
Ali Alhadithi is a principal in Heidrick & Struggles' Dubai office and a member of the Global Financial Services Practice, focusing on investment and portfolio management. He works with a variety of clients such as sovereign wealth funds, diversified government or privately owned investment holdings and private equity backed portfolio businesses. He also supports the firm’s global Legal, Risk, Compliance and Government Affairs functional practice in the Middle East.
Prior to joining Heidrick & Struggles, he gained six years of experience executing senior legal and compliance placements within the Middle East’s legal, financial services, and real estate and construction industries. During this time, Ali advised and supported leading clients and candidates across various middle East markets and building a proven track record of high profile placements within the region.
Mahek is a Senior Marketing Specialist at Thomson Reuters, working in the field of financial, risk, legal and tax technology with four years of marketing experience gained across the full mix.
She has driven market awareness for tax technology for GCC VAT in the region, and built a local thought-leadership and content programme for the MENA region. In her role, she has also established affiliate partnerships with various accounting and advisory bodies including the Global 7 and the ACCA. Mahek holds a Masters of Arts Honors (MA Hons) in Business and Finance gained from a leading university in Dubai.
